I would consider myself an Apple fan (and incredibly proud of it). As we move into September (or iPhone season) at blazing speeds, my social media has been hit hard with the various rumours and leaks of what Apple's 2022 iPhone range will look like.

Since 2012, I've been waking up at ungodly hours of the morning to tune in and watch Apple's annual keynote in hopes of getting a glimpse of the new release along with millions of other avid apple fans across the world.

Typically Apple releases an 'industry shaking' iPhone model every two years, with the 2nd year focusing on minor improvements on the previous. 2022 is exciting because if Apple continues with long tradition, were due for an exciting revamp to the iPhone we know and love (or deeply hate).

There have been quite a few leaks floating around of what the new models may look like. After years of following these leaks and working for a telco company that received the new phones weeks before launch, it's safe to say that most of the leaks are pretty accurate. iPhone accessory makers get their hands on the phones before launch to start creating cases, screen protectors, etc., so it's entirely viable for one staff member to break Apple's NDA and take a sneaky snap.

So far, I've seen that the new iPhones will remain a very similar box shape design as the previous 12 and 13 models. However, the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max lineup may feature a new front camera / Face ID setup.

With other features like satellite connectivity, allowing text alerts to be sent to emergency services even in areas with zero cellular coverage, chip upgrades, an "always-on" display and improvements to the telephoto lens, bringing it in line with some competitors such as Samsung and Huawei, which currently offer 10x and 40x zoom capabilities.

Apple is also expected to reveal a redesign of the Apple Watch, offering an "Apple Watch Pro", which may be available in larger sizes and be more durable, with leaks suggesting it may be constructed from a titanium casing.

I'm keen to see how these rumours fair after the Apple Event, which will take place tomorrow morning at 3am AEST (I will be watching LIVE... Who needs sleep, when you've got NEW IPHONES!!)
